ok so technically this isn't a recipe...but since I'm on GAPS right now, and can't have a lot of sweet treats, I've discovered something about dates that I just had to share with you!
Now, normally, I'm not a huge fan of dates. I don't like how they look like huge cock roaches and how they are so super sweet, but since my taste buds have gone through such drastic changes, I now really enjoy them! A couple of weeks ago, I bought some Medjool Dates (amazing!!) and since they suggested I refrigerate after opening, I stuck them in the fridge.
Later that day, as I was thinking something sweet would be fun, I saw them in the fridge and decided to have one. Instantly, refrigerated dates became my new favorite treat! They are chewier and harder when they are cold and it just makes for the perfect bite of sweet!
Best thing about them? It's very easy to stop after just one or two as they are super sweet and there's no prep involved other then popping them in the fridge! Yum!
