our time in NJ is drawing to a close
in less than a month, we'll be crossing the Hudson River and we'll be NYC residents again
while we are so excited, there is also anxiety and stress
we don't have a place to live
and while we have at least one apartment that sounds ideal, it's not even open to view yet
so while we wait, my mind starts to stress and feel overwhelmed with all the details that still need to be figured out
God is so good, and this morning, gently reminded me of his promise and my response
I'm so thankful for his peace
I'm so thankful he already knows exactly where we'll be living
I'm so thankful he has a better and bigger plan that I can even dare to dream, ask for or imagine
so I rest and I will not be anxious
I trust that he has led us to this point and will not stop
And I will repeat this verse as my prayer as many times as I need to, thankful that he also understands me and my worries and will meet me where I'm at.

ReplyDeleteOh Kristina, I know how it feels to be overwhelmed and stressed, but God is good and he does keep his promises. Praying things work out for you :)

ReplyDeleteHang in there---these moments in life are always stressful!!! No more New Jersey for you?!?! WHY?!?!
ReplyDeleteHow did you know I needed to read this today?! My family is transition too...we know we will be moving within the next few months because my husband finishes his degree, but we don't know where we will be going. I constantly remind myself that "while we're waiting we will Serve Him" and that takes all of the anxious feelings away in that moment. Best wishes!

Hi Kristina,
ReplyDeleteThere is a scripture I always pray with at times like this-Act 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth...and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; With focus on the last sentence.
You can't miss it when you trust God's leading. I am glad you are dealing with the attending anxieties like we all do at time like this.
