Hightlight: Sweet Papi, Daughter Moments

Growing up, I would sit as close to my daddy as possible, and watch whatever sport he was watching (usually baseball and more specifically the Cincinnati Reds). I asked all sorts of questions and wanted to know as much as possible about the game as I could so that we could share that together. It got to the point where I knew a lot of baseball trivia and knew every player on the team and almost every player on the teams that played the Reds. And, not only did I know about it, I got just as passionate about it!

I treasured those moments with my dad. I knew they were just me and him moments. To this day, they are special.

So, the other day, when Peru's soccer team was playing a pretty big game to qualify for the World Cup, and hubby was able to stream the game over the internet, my heart was so warmed when I walked into the living room and saw this:

And, not only was she sitting as close to him as she possibly could, she was also asking all sorts of questions about the game, who was playing, what the rules were, etc.

My little girl adores her papi. She is such a papi's girl! And I have to say, he's pretty crazy about her too! And their relationship is so sweet and reminds me so much of my own sweet relationship with my father.

I'm so grateful. For one, that I experienced that kind of love from my own dad, and two, that my daughter has just as amazing a father as I did.

These sweet moments....these are the ones I store in my heart...these are the ones that make me smile on especially rough days....these are the days I'm so incredibly grateful for!

Here's to a great week!
