Guest Post - Kim @ Singledou[b]t

Hello friends of the BIG APPLE MAMI!
I hope that you are having a great week, so far.

My name is Kim and I blog over at Singledou[b]t.  Last time I stopped by, I shared a recipe. This time I struggled with what to share with you!  Writing blog posts for yourself can be hard enough.  Writing them for other people is even more tough.  This time, I thought I'd share a little about myself by sharing what makes me smile.  I have really been feeling thankful lately for many things in my life. So I thought I'd share the top things.

COMMUNITY

I live in Washington Heights in Manhattan, New York City.  Its predominately a Spanish speaking Latin culture.  I belong to a church that meets in that neighborhood.  We have been a family of believers for about 4 years but an official church for 5 months.  Many of us feel called to live in this neighborhood and to serve them. These people are amazing to work with, serve with and live with.  No its not a cult :) We just love Jesus and people!

FAMILY

I have the best parents!  They have been so good to my brother and I!  I am so thankful for who they are and how well they love us! I know that many people don't have what I have and it grieves me.  To have parents who love you without expectation and with all they have is such a humble blessing. I would give you mine if I could!

 ART & DIY

I call myself an artist.  Not saying I am any good but its defintely a passion of mine.  I love writing, photography, creating and recreating/repurposing.  It gives me much joy.  I also love to sit in front of the TV and knit.  If we were friends you'd probably find some knitted item of mine in your possession at some point.

BEST FRIENDS

I am blessed to have some amazing people in my life.  Words cannot say enough how blessed I am in that department.  At the top of that list is my Best Friend, Ashley!  She is my roommate, sister, friend, and soulmate!  Life with her has been so much more rich.  I look forward to the day we have our own families and can share that stage of life with each other but for now I get her all to myself... well sort of.  We do have other friends

THE OTHER

Love is not a strong enough word for how I feel about coffee.  Co-dependent is more like it.

I am fascinated with zoos.  Need there to be more in closer proximity.  You can read about my latest visits here & here.

SANGRIA.  If you go to my blog, you'll notice lately the talk on Sangria.  I am a bit obsessed.  I do love it! I also love to cook.  Here are a few of my recipes.

Thanks Kristina for letting me take up some valuable space on your blog!  Thanks to your readers for reading!
