Today is definitely a bittersweet day. My hubby had to rush home to Peru on Wednesday as we received word that his father was gravely ill. His dad had been battling sickness for the past 6 years and it looked like he was finally losing this battle.
This morning, hubby called me to let me know that his dad had passed away. So much sadness as we've lost such an important part of the family but there is also relief that his pain and suffering are gone and he is with Jesus. That brings such hope!
It was also nice to have some good news today at the ultrasound. Baby #4 is calm (that's a good thing folks with the crazy crew we have already!) and healthy...everything is measuring right on and seems fine.
We also got to find out what we're having. While I was so bummed that Jose couldn't be there with me, I was glad that I could call him and tell him shortly after. And, while I was also nervous about how one of the kids would react to the news, my children met the news with open arms and pure excitement, forgetting whether they'd been rooting for boy or girl and just excited to finally know and have an idea about the baby in mami's belly.
This is how I told the kiddos what we're having and so I'll do the same to tell you as well. And, I think we just might have a name already in the works! Thanks for all your wonderful suggestions!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
